1. Red River draws near

When a team is consistently winning blowouts, it’s easy to look ahead to the big games. For the Sooners, only more game sits between them and the Red River Shootout.

In two weeks, Oklahoma meets Texas. The Longhorns may have lost to LSU, but they’ve gotten right back on track. Head to head with Oklahoma State, the Sooners’ Bedlam rivals last week, Texas showed that they’re ready.

Jalen Hurts meeting Sam Ehlinger is absolutely going to be a treat. The two quarterbacks have been playing on such a high level, and the offensive output in that game could be record-breaking.

The way these two teams are playing, it’s likely that they’ll see each other again on conference championship weekend. Still, there’s just something special about the regular season meeting during the Texas State Fair.

It will be the game of the year in the Big 12, and for the Sooners, they couldn’t have more momentum as that game nears. There’s one last tune-up with the Kansas Jayhawks next week, and then it will be time for Red River.
