TCU football bounced back nicely from its defeat against SMU a week ago with a 51-14 victory over Kansas to kick off Big 12 play.

The TCU Horned Frogs, after losing to SMU a week ago, returned to the field and thumped the Kansas Jayhawks by a score of 51-14. It didn’t take long to get going, either, as the Frogs scored on each of their six first half possessions.

Horned Frogs’ running back Darius Anderson racked up his third-consecutive 100-yard rushing performance, as he finished with 115 yards and one touchdown. He was fourth in the Big 12 in rushing heading into the game and will be behind just Oklahoma State’s Chuba Hubbard (with half as many carries as the Cowboys’ star).

Anderson didn’t do it alone, though, as you can expect from a blowout win. The TCU defense didn’t allow a single score until garbage time and kept the Jayhawks under 200 yards for the game. TCU even scored on the final play of the game, an 11-yard scamper from backup quarterback Mike Collins.

There didn’t seem to be any hard feelings between Les Miles and Gary Patterson, though, but it likely rubbed the Jayhawk fans the wrong way.
