3. Kevin Sumlin out-coached Chip Kelly

For years, many viewed Kevin Sumlin as a hot prospect in the coaching world. He had worked wonders with several teams, quarterbacks and programs, putting together big-time wins and great seasons.

He led Houston to 35 victories and three bowls in four seasons. In 2012, his first with Texas A&M, the Aggies won 11 games, including the Cotton Bowl, and seemed set to be contenders in the SEC after finishing second in their division.

They won nine games the following year, but things hit the skids after that, with Sumlin eventually being pushed out after going 7-5 in 2017. He landed at Arizona and has recovered from a 5-7 first year to be sitting at 3-1 right now and 1-0 in the Pac-12.

Will the Wildcats be contenders still in November for the league title? That remains to be seen, but on this night and in this game, Sumlin was his old self on the sidelines.
