26. Scouting Report. 28. Michigan State Spartans. Kenny Willekes. player. Pick Analysis. Defensive End

The 2019 Baltimore Ravens are not the Ravens we’ve become accustomed to the past 20 years. The dominant days of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are long gone, but the team looks lost defensively without C.J. Mosley and Terrell Suggs now gone, too. It always starts with a pass rush in Baltimore, though, and Michigan State’s Kenny Willekes could provide just what they need.

Willekes is a 6-foot-4, 260-pound edge rusher who’s racked up 39.5 tackles-for-loss and 17 sacks during his four-year Spartan career. He’s been able to get his hands up when failing to reach the quarterback, too, tallying seven career pass deflections.

He’s currently second on the 4-1 Spartans in tackles (34) and tackles-for-loss (6), and is tied for the lead in sacks with 3.5. Willekes’ two fumble recoveries are also a team-high, and he even returned one of them for a touchdown.

The Ravens could use some new blood defensively, and Willekes would provide an immediate spark to a fanbase that loves when defenders get after it.
