2. Eno Benjamin is back

It’s been a rough start to the season for Eno Benjamin. The junior running back came back as one of the best running backs in the country for 2019 but it’s been tough sledding behind a struggling offensive line. The lanes just aren’t there for him this season, but he finally reached 100 yards against a solid Cal defense for the first time since Week 1.

Benjamin rushed for over 100 yards against Kent State in the opener, but he was held to under 85 yards in each of his next three games. But he finally got back to the 100-yard mark against the Golden Bears on 29 carries.

That may not seem like a breakout game for the junior after a slow start, he added three touchdowns and carried the offense.

Arizona State was picking up good yardage and making defenders miss and his yards per carry may not have been pretty, but this was a good first step to getting his mojo back.

Is he “back” after a 100-yard performance? No, but he could surely be on his way.
