1. Penn State is only hope to beat Ohio State

Penn State isn’t going to face Ohio State until Nov. 23 when the Nittany Lions travel to Columbus, but if Week 5 was any indication, they might be the conference’s only hope to dethrone the Buckeyes.

Sure, there’s Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa and even Michigan State, but the Nittany Lions looked like the most well-rounded team.

Let’s recap the week that was. Wisconsin struggled to put Northwestern away at home, Michigan beat Rutgers so we didn’t exactly learn more about the Wolverines from that, Iowa beat Middle Tennessee so that didn’t teach us anything and Michigan State struggled to put Indiana away at home. All of those teams were considered contenders, but no one proved anything.

Outside of Ohio State’s win over Nebraska, Penn State had the most impressive road victory of any Big Ten team in Week 5.

Maybe it’s true; maybe the Nittany Lions are the Big Ten’s only hope to upend the Buckeyes of Ohio State who are just rolling through everyone.
