Who fell in the Big 12 football power rankings? Who had the highest rise? Oklahoma State is impressive and Kansas is still Kansas.

We almost had a full slate in the Big 12 this week as only West Virginia and Texas were idle. Baylor held off a frantic comeback against the Iowa State Cyclones while Oklahoma State proved they can play some defense against the Kansas State Wildcats.

The Sooners’ wagon train continues to move toward the Big 12 championship game with another dominant victory against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. TCU overmatched and overwhelmed a Kansas team that was undermanned, but played with good effort — moral victories, right?

The Big 12 continues to separate between the elite, the really good and the year zeroes. Oklahoma is the franchise in the Big 12 while Texas still has a lot to prove before it can join the elite. There are a lot of really good teams in the Big 12, and they are very evenly-matched.

It might be year zero for the Red Raiders, and Kansas is, well, Kansas.

With all due respect to Barry Switzer and “hangin’ half-a-hundred on ’em” here are this week’s Big 12 power rankings.
