South Carolina football cruised to a victory over Kentucky in Week 5 of the season. Let’s take a look at how the team played.

South Carolina’s 2019 season has gotten off to a rough start. They entered Week 5 with a 1-3 overall record. Coming off of a two-game losing streak, the Gamecocks desperately needed a victory.

They had also lost five straight to the Wildcats and a sixth would have been devastating.

The Gamecocks came out of the gate with a 11-play drive for 75 yards that ended in a touchdown. From there, the Gamecocks never looked back.

The first half ended with the score 10-3 in favor of South Carolina. The Gamecocks picked up where they left off to start the second half. They recovered a Kentucky fumble on the third play of the half. On the very next play, Rico Dowdle took the handoff for a 30 yard score.
