UCLA football has had a wild start to its 2019 season. Could the month of October have an even more dramatic outcome for the Bruins?

After five weeks of college football, the UCLA Bruins find themselves with an underwhelming 1-4 record. However, these wins and losses hardly represent the true narrative of their 2019 season thus far.

The Bruins played a solid Cincinnati team on the road in Week 1 and lost, 24-14. Embarrassingly, the Bruins lost their second game at home to San Diego State. Then they were blown out by Oklahoma, as expected.

But, the Bruins’ third matchup  is when everyone was caught off guard. UCLA traveled to Pullman to take on the undefeated Washington State Cougars. At the time, the Cougars were ranked No. 19 in the country. In a complete shootout, the UCLA Bruins came away with the victory, 67-63.

However, UCLA reverted back to its old self and lost to a subpar Arizona team the following week, earning them their fourth loss of the year. From a football perspective, this was rollercoaster month of football for the Bruins.

Let’s take a look at some of the possibilities for UCLA football in the next four weeks.
