Boise State Football: 3 keys to victory vs. UNLV in Week 6
2. Let it fly
Hank Bachmeier and the Broncos have thrown for over 322 yards a game in their first four games. The passing game has been a strength for the Broncos when they have given quarterbacks time to throw. The running game with Robert Mahone and George Holani has leveled the Broncos out to stay balanced, but UNLV has struggled in the secondary and could be vulnerable.
Boise State has some of the best receivers in the Mountain West and its receiving corps could really be ranked at a national level as well. Wide receivers CT Thomas, John Hightower and Khalil Shakir have the Broncos in a prime position to hit the long ball whenever they would like. We should see Boise State try and take some deep shots early to knock the Rebels out of this game from the very beginning.
Bachmeier and the rest of the Bronco offense could enjoy a season-high in points and yards on Saturday if they open up the playbook and let it fly against UNLV. We should see a creative offense on the field for Boise State to prepare for Hawaii.
