Boise State Football: Will Broncos continue to pace Group of Five vs. UNLV?
Boise State football goes on the road to play UNLV on Saturday. Will the Broncos be able to get out Vegas undefeated?
Boise State Football rolls into Las Vegas 4-0 and looking to get their second win in the Mountain West against UNLV. Hank Bachmeier and the Broncos have put the rest of the Group of Five on notice as they have a Power Five win and are currently ranked as the highest Group of Five team in the country after UCF’s loss to Pitt.
UNLV is coming off three straight losses that put them at 1-3 on the season. Their last loss coming on the road at Wyoming who put up 53 points and ran past the Rebels 53-17. Running back Charles Williams was injured in the game and fished with only 17 yards on five attempts.
Even with the lack of yards on Saturday due to an injury, Williams has almost 500 yards in just four games rushing and has added six touchdowns. He is a huge bright spot as UNLV has struggled at getting anything going through the air.
Bachmeier and the Broncos are going to look to add some style points to their game in Las Vegas. With SMU and UCF on the heels of Boise State in the polls, the Broncos will need to not only win but impress this weekend.

Keys to Victory
The running game for the Broncos has been the key all year. When the running game gets going and George Holani and Robert Mahone are clicking together, other teams have been in trouble quick. This has allowed the burners on the outside like CT Thomas to get open downfield and let Bachmeier go through his progressions.
UNLV will have to really start moving the ball better on offense and show life in the passing game. Leading passer Armani Rogers has used his legs as a weapon more than his arm, as the UNLV offensive line has given up 11 sacks on the year and has struggled up front against good talent. Curtis Weaver will be a name that is called all night if UNLV can’t get a block on him, or even double him.

Prediction
Boise State is looking to make a statement on the road in Las Vegas. Coming off of a bye, the Broncos should be in great shape to put a beat down on the Rebels. We will see a lot of Curtis Weaver in the backfield and the Broncos creating space for their playmakers on offense including John Hightower who is poised for a big game.
Boise State is a 23.5-point favorite on the road which tells you a lot of what you need to know to get ready for this matchup. A game that will get finished in the early morning hours on the east coast should be over long before the final whistle.
Final Score: Boise State 56, UNLV 10
