Week 6 in college football features three ranked showdowns as well as some intriguing and vitally important conference matchups.

We’re inching closer and closer to the halfway point of the college football regular season as, like always, the season is flying by. It’s hard to believe that the calendar has already flipped to October and most teams are entering conference stretches that will ultimately determine how their season is viewed by their respective fanbases.

Cincinnati and UCF get the party rolling on Friday night in a game that will have major ramifications not just in the AAC race, but in the Group of Five race as well.

Saturday features three ranked vs. ranked showdowns as Auburn travels to the Swamp to face Florida in a battle of unbeatens, Iowa heads to Ann Arbor to meet up with reeling Michigan, and Ohio State looks to continue its dominance, albeit in many close games, against Michigan State at the Horseshoe.

Last week brought some surprises, and also my worst week of the year picking games. I finished below .500 against the spread for the first time this season, but remain comfortably above 50 percent on the season. This week brings with it a lot of tight spreads, though, so further regression to the mean could be coming. Fade away, folks.

Let’s take a look at the biggest games of Week 6, and try to get this train back on tracks.

Last Week: 6-4 straight up; 4-6 ATS
Overall: 36-14 straight up; 28-22 ATS
