1. Stay Balanced

Having one of the best quarterbacks in the country and one that might even be at the Heisman ceremony would make you think that the passing game is the biggest strength for the team. This, however, is not the case for the Buckeyes as they have playmakers all around Justin Fields. Although the Michigan State defense has been as good as they have against the run, the Buckeyes will still need to be able to run the ball to do what they need to do against the Spartans.

J.K Dobbins is one of the best running backs in the country and is quickly moving up the draft boards of many NFL teams. He will have to have a great game despite the opposition of one of the best defensive fronts in the country.

By being able to effectively run on Saturday night, the Buckeyes will be able to get their playmakers on the outside free and clear.

If Michigan State is able to make the Buckeyes a one-dimensional team, this could really spell trouble for the rest of the squad and put the defense in trouble. The Buckeyes have to keep running the ball, even if they aren’t getting chunk plays, that is just the key to success against the Spartans.
