College Football Rankings 2019: Projected Top 25, Week 7 – Florida climbs

Notre Dame did exactly what AP voters expect of a top-10 team playing a Group of Five afterthought, shutting out Bowling Green 52-0 in South Bend to improve to 4-1 on the season. The Fighting Irish will hold position among the top teams in the country as they prepare for a visit from USC in Week 7.
Ian Book threw for five touchdowns and Phil Jurkovec added another score through the air as the two quarterbacks combined to go 21-of-27 for 340 passing yards. Tony Jones Jr. posted a 102-yard rushing game on just seven carries, and the Irish finished with 233 rushing yards as a team while averaging nearly seven yards per carry.
The annual battle for the Jeweled Shillelagh isn’t quite as exotic this season, with the Trojans playing just above .500 and already bearing two losses on their record. But rivalry games take odd twists and turns, and Notre Dame can’t take anything for granted if they hope to remain in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 into mid-October.
