Louisville Football: 3 takeaways from win over Boston College in Week 6
1. Louisville has a major quarterback decision to make
Jawon Pass didn’t play this week because of an injury so that left the door open for Malik Cunningham, who recently changed his named to Micale — more so asked to be referred to as that since it’s part of his real name.
Cunningham was more than impressive, passing for 288 yards and a touchdown on 13-of-18 completions, but he went out late in the game with what looked to be an injury. He also rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown on six carries. His departure gave way to freshman quarterback Evan Conley who pieced together a strong game of his own.
In fact, Conley came in to pass for 140 yards and a touchdown on 10-of-16 completions.
Together, the two quarterbacks were 23-of-34 for 428 yards and two touchdowns, showing that there’s plenty of talent behind Pass and both may be viable replacements.
It looks like Scott Satterfield and the Cardinals have a major quarterback decision to make as the season progresses.
