LSU Football: 5 bold predictions for Tigers in October 2019
By David Harvey
3. Joe Burrow continues his dominance
There is no other quarterback in the country with a better completion percentage than Joe Burrow. He is just a hair over 80 percent on completions this season. He is third in the nation in passing touchdowns with 17 and he has only thrown two interceptions all season.

It would have been extremely tough to have predicted this type of performance after last season. Last season Burrow struggled with only a 58 percent completion rate on the season. His aforementioned 17 touchdowns this season is already one more than what he had the entire 2018 season. He looks like a brand new quarterback.
The main reason for his change has been the offensive transformation under new passing game coordinator, Joe Brady. He came to LSU by way of another Louisiana staple team, the New Orleans Saints where he was an offensive assistant with arguably the best passing offense in the NFL. He looks to have brought that style of play to the Tigers and Joe Burrow is thriving in it.
I think the Joe’s continue to put up big numbers. Even against the tougher competition, I don’t see them slowing down one bit. Burrow will average over 250 yards and two-plus touchdowns per game through the month of October. His completion percentage might drop slightly with better defenses on the horizon but I don’t see it changing too much either.
