Michigan football welcomed the Iowa Hawkeyes in an intense defensive battle. Let’s see who came out on top and what we learned from the game.

The Michigan Wolverines took on the Iowa Hawkeyes in one of the most anticipated Big Ten games of Week 6. The Wolverines entered the game with a 3-1 record, with their only loss coming to No. 8 Wisconsin.

Iowa, on the other hand, came in undefeated at No. 14 in the polls. However, the Hawkeyes knew this was going to be an uphill battle, given that the game was being played at Michigan in “The Big House”.

Heading into halftime, the game was close, with the Wolverines leading 10-3. The second half started slow, with the entire third quarter being completely scoreless. The fourth quarter was much of the same. In general, defensive performance and self-imposed mistakes were the storylines for both teams in the second half.

Iowa earned its first loss of the year to Michigan, 10-3.

Although this game was not the most exciting, there were a handful of bigger implications to take away from this low-scoring Big Ten matchup.
