Penn State football finished the month of September on a high note. But what’s in store for the Nittany Lions in October?

The start of the 2019 season for the Penn State Nittany Lions has been even more than what they hoped for. From offense to defense and even special teams, Penn State is on its way to a historic season.

Despite the departures Trace McSorley and Miles Sanders, the Penn State offense has been clicking on all cylinders, ranking in the top five of scoring offenses.

On the defensive side, Micah Parsons, Yetur Gross-Matos and John Reid are leading a dominant defense that is one of the best they’ve had in recent years, allowing just two total touchdowns through the first four games. And with a blocked punt and record setting field goal, the special teams is getting in on the action.

With the first month over, Penn State has a lot of buzz entering October. Some think its offense can compete with Ohio State’s while others think the defense can compare with that of Wisconsin. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for Penn State as they retooled on offense and developed their defense but Penn State isn’t taking any time off and is peaking.

So now it’s the heart of their schedule. October has Penn State opening up with a home game versus Purdue before going on the road to take on Iowa. Following Iowa, Penn State heads back home for their annual White Out game to battle Michigan, before ending the month with a road game against Michigan State.

It’s going to be an exciting and entertaining month for the Nittany Lions, but what could they achieve? Check out three bold predictions for the Nittany Lions in the month of October,
