The podcast hits the midpoint of 2019 with a look at the best wins and worst losses of college football’s Week 6 and best Week 7 games against the spread.

Week 6 saw some shuffling in the major polls (not quite as much as was projected at the top at the end of the evening, but more than we all bargained for once all the dust settled on Saturday night’s west-coast chaos).

What it all means for the overall bowl picture is still fluid, but things are starting to come into better focus as we approach the midseason fulcrum of the 2019 campaign. We will talk about that more next week as we reach the official endpoint in a season built around two bye weeks per team.

There is plenty to discuss this week in the Saturday Blitz Podcast, though, as we kick off the opening segment with a breakdown of the biggest victories, the most excruciating defeats, and the biggest surprises across the country. In the last two segments, we distill the biggest games of the upcoming Week 7 slate that will put every team (except Appalachian State and Navy) through their sixth games of the season.

And, as always, we discuss what we’re planning on munching and drinking this weekend to get you thinking about what you might want to fuel up on — whether you plan on tailgating at the stadium, going out to watch the games, or staying home and enjoying televised bliss.

So tuck in for this week’s edition of the Saturday Blitz Podcast as John and I return for another hour and change of football talk.
