1. Syracuse pulls off the road win

Before the season, predicting a win on the road against NC State would have been as safe as it could get, but with the way the Orange have played in the first half of the year, it’s no longer a “gimme”.

The Orange are just 3-2 and 0-1 in ACC play and the Wolfpack are actually 4.5-point favorites in Raleigh. A lot has changed since the first week of the season but the Orange are just too talented to keep heading down this path toward mediocrity and Dino Babers is too good a coach.

Coming off a bye week and riding a two-game winning streak, I believe the Orange will come out motivated and ready to pull off the road upset behind the arm of Tommy DeVito, legs of Abdul Adams and Moe Neal and the hands of Trishton Jackson and Taj Harris.

The defense still has plenty of work to do, but getting brand-new starter Bailey Hockman in a Thursday night game could actually play into the Orange’s favor.

Watch out, Wolfpack, the Orange are ready to show why they began the season ranked and prove that they’re not just a layup anymore.
