After some mediocre weeks in college football, the Week 7 slate delivers the goods with several marquee matchups headlining an excellent slate.

This college football season has seemed a little devoid of big-time matchups. While there’s certainly been exceptions like LSU vs. Texas and Georgia vs. Notre Dame, we haven’t had a top to bottom loaded slate of games so far this season.

Enter, Week 7.

The Week 7 slate delivers the goods we’ve been looking for. There’s marquee matchups throughout the day on Saturday. It all gets started at the Cotton Bowl as Oklahoma and Texas renew their intense rivalry, with both looking to position themselves for a potential playoff run.

The afternoon slate brings us Alabama and Texas A&M in College Station, and while the Aggies’ two losses has taken some luster from that matchup, expect plenty of fireworks at Kyle Field.

The evening slate is loaded. The unbeaten vs. unbeaten matchup of Florida against LSU is the headliner, but USC vs. Notre Dame and Penn State vs. Iowa both offer plenty of intrigue as well.

If you still haven’t had your fill by then, the late night slate offers a couple of juicy matchups to cap a terrific day. Hawaii and Boise State face off with major Mountain West — and Group of Five — implications in Boise. Then Washington looks to right the ship against Khalil Tate and surging Arizona in some #Pac12AfterDark action in Tucson.

We’re staring at back-to-back .500 or worse gambling weeks after a hot start to the season. The regression to the mean was always coming, but we’re going to try and get back on track this week.

Let’s take a look at the biggest games of Week 7 and make some predictions:

Last Week: 7-3 straight up; 5-5 ATS
Season: 43-17 straight up; 33-27 ATS
