2. Middle Tennessee at FAU

No, this isn’t a Conference USA based article, there just happen to be some good games on this weekend flying under the radar of the mega games being played. FAU always has some interest for the simple fact that Lane Kiffin is the head coach. However, the winner of this game is set up in a solid situation in the East division of the C-USA.

Middle Tennessee surprised people the previous week with their win over Marshall, who was thought to be a favorite in the conference. The Blue Raiders had an extremely tough non-conference schedule as they played Michigan, Iowa and Duke. They are 1-0 in conference and looking to get another win this weekend.

FAU has played some tough teams out of conference, just like Middle Tennessee. FAU’s first two games of the season were losses against UCF and Ohio State. Since then, the Owls have won three straight and sit 1-0 in conference play. Their win came against an improved Charlotte squad. FAU will look to improve their record and their place in conference with a win over a tough Middle Tennessee squad.

Recapping reasons to watch

  • Big conference game
  • Who doesn’t enjoy watching Lane Kiffin?
  • FAU is favored by 10.5, but could an upset happen?
