Notre Dame football continues its quest to finishing the season with a single loss. Here’s why USC won’t be Notre Dame’s second loss.
Notre Dame is coming off its most dominant game of the season in their 52-0 win over Bowling Green. The Irish improved their record to 4-1 after Week 6 and remained at No. 9 in the AP Poll. This week, the Irish will welcome the USC Trojans to South Bend in one of the earlier rivalry matches that college football has to offer this season.
The Trojans have had one of the most inconsistent and unpredictable seasons in all the country. However, this is true for pretty much the entire Pac-12. After losing their star quarterback, JT Daniels, early in the year to injury, the Trojans have had to improvise much of their offense. To their credit, it has gone relatively well.
The Trojans are 3-2 on the year and are coming off a bye week which has allowed them more time to prepare for the Irish. This extra week of preparation will undoubtedly help USC in their efforts. However, here is why Notre Dame will ultimately take home the victory.
