Oklahoma football takes on Texas in Dallas to continue one of the best rivalries in all of the sports. Who will take home this top-15 win in the Red River Rivalry?

Oklahoma football takes their undefeated record into the Red River Rivalry against Texas in a long-awaited matchup between two great football teams.

Senior Quarterback Jalen Hurts for Oklahoma has been setting the Big 12 on fire in 2019 and is looking to put his mark on the rivalry in his last college season. Austin-native and star Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger is all too familiar with the rivalry, growing up watching the Longhorns and now being part of his third such rivalry battle.

Hurts leads the nation in total quarterback rating with a score of 96.6 which has been much to the surprise of head coach Lincoln Riley. After transferring from Alabama for his senior season, Hurts was looking for playing time and a shot at another national championship after winning one his Sophomore year. Hurts now is part of the Heisman conversation leading the Sooners in passing and rushing yards. With over 2,000 yards in total offense and 21 total touchdowns, the Sooner offense has been a wrecking ball through their first five games.

On the other side of the ball, we have a Texas Longhorn team that is 4-1 and saw their only loss come from a top 10 team in the LSU Tigers. Only losing by a touchdown to the Tigers, the Longhorns still have high hopes for a Big 12 championship and a shot to get into the College Football Playoff.

Both of these teams have high powered offense, scoring over 40 points a game and being able to do most of their damage through the air. We should see a shootout in Texas, with both defenses also struggling to stop much of anything, especially vs. really great offenses.

What could we see in Saturday’s Red River Rivalry game?
