In the undisputed game of the week, undefeated LSU football hosts unscathed Florida. Here is all you need to know about this exciting matchup.

Both of these teams have been shockingly good and I am excited to see what this matchup has in store. LSU knocked off Texas early in the season and now Florida has knocked off a streaking Auburn team. Both teams sit undefeated and are threats in the SEC as the season progresses. I would even go as far as to call this a playoff elimination game.

Here is everything you need to know about the matchup:

Keys to Victory

For Florida, it needs to play defense. LSU has ripped through opponents, but the Tigers haven’t faced a real strong defense yet. The Gators had Bo Nix and the Auburn offense off-kilter from the start of the game. If they can do that to Joe Burrow and the Tigers, they have a chance to take this one. The Gators lead the nation in takeaways and have one of the best pass rushes in the conference. Watch out, Burrow.

For LSU, it’s on Burrow. Kyle Trask is dealing with a knee issue that he sustained against Auburn, so he has a chance to be the best quarterback on the field. However, can he take on the Florida defense and play the same game that he has week in and week out throughout the season to date? Also, can the LSU defense hold against Florida? I am not too convinced about that unit as of yet.

Prediction

This will be an intense matchup for sure. If you thought last year’s matchup was exciting, this one promises to be even better. I have bought into the LSU offense and the Florida defense. The other halves of each team have a lot to show me, so this promises to be an interesting one for sure. I think it’ll be close, but in the end, LSU pulls away and comes out on top. It’ll come down to the fourth quarter for sure though.

Final Score: LSU 27, Florida 24
