It’s the Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Undefeated Oklahoma football will face one-loss Texas for Big 12 supremacy.

It’s Red River Showdown weekend in the Big 12. The Longhorns come into this game 10-point underdogs in this one. The Longhorns have one loss in a valiant showing against a potent LSU squad while the Sooners come in undefeated. There’s an argument the Sooners haven’t been tested like the Longhorns have, but style points count when you look at Oklahoma.

Oklahoma’s offense has been dominant against every team they’ve played this season both on the ground and in the air. The catalyst behind the Sooners offensive juggernaut is Jalen Hurts. He’s playing in a system that allows him to use his legs, and spring receivers open. Hurts has responded by completing a high percentage of his passes, and not turning it over.

The Texas offense is Sam Ehlinger or bust. The only healthy tailback they have is Keaontay Ingram. They’ve converted Roschon Johnson into a tailback for depth. Devin Duvernay has been Ehlinger’s favorite target with Brennan Eagles his big play receiver, but the offense is Sam or bust.

It’s going to be difficult for the Longhorns’ defense to contain Oklahoma, but they can score on the Sooners. This one is coming down to which defense makes the critical play. The Sooners will make that play.

Here are three keys to a Sooner win.
