South Carolina football takes on Georgia this Saturday. What will it take for the Gamecocks to pull out an upset in Athens to shock the nation?

South Carolina is coming into this week after a dominant victory over Kentucky and a bye week of rest. The Gamecocks are riding on a good bit of momentum after beating the Wildcats for the first time in five years. Now the task is to end a 4 game losing streak to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia has won 5 in a row this year. Their toughest match-up to date being the Notre Dame Fighting Irish that took them down to the wire with only 6 points between the two. After beating up on Tennessee in what turned into a 43-14 route the Bulldogs looked poised for another SEC East crown.

South Carolina has 13 players on the injury report coming into this week and Georgia has 9. The majority of those are probable for the game this weekend but it’s safe to say both teams are beaten up a little bit. None are bigger for South Carolina than Senior Quarterback, Jake Bentley. On the Georgia side of the ball, there are 3 wide receivers with injuries. The Bulldogs are already short at that position so getting those guys healthy will be a big need before Saturday.

There is no doubt that the talent level at the skill positions favors the Bulldogs so South Carolina will have to have a very strong game plan coming into this one. Let’s see the keys to the game for the Gamecocks.
