Texas A&M football is heading into a defining October. The season has already been full of ups and downs, but now it gets real.

This season has been a disappointing one for the Aggies so far. They have two losses on the season already, but both sit as top 10 teams at the moment, so it can’t be all that bad, right?

After watching them struggle against Arkansas, I have my doubts about this team. However, now it is October and this month will define this team.

So, let’s talk bold predictions- starting with this month’s predicted record.

3. Aggies go 2-1

The Aggies opened this month on a bye week, so they have had plenty of time to prepare for what starts on Saturday at home against Alabama. Do I think that Texas A&M will pull off that upset? Not one bit. Will they hang around as Ole Miss did against the Tide? Sure, why not.

They are an SEC team and there is talent on this roster, enough to put up a fight. However, there won’t be a win for the Aggies there.

Next, the Aggies take on Ole Miss on the road. The Rebels have struggled to put together a strong pass rush which will be a big plus for Kellen Mond who at times struggles against stronger defensive units. They also have struggled to consistently put together an offense, so if the Aggies can take advantage of that — it’s a win in my book.

Last, the Aggies host Mississippi State. A home game against a team struggling to do anything consistently. This team is decent enough but was just blown out by Auburn — a team that the Aggies only lost to by eight. I think Texas A&M is finally able to pull that win off, one that they haven’t gotten in a long time.
