2. Georgia’s playoff chances are gone

After this upset loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Bulldogs’ playoff chances are, like Fromm’s Heisman chances, completely gone. Considering how well the Florida Gators have been playing, Georgia may not even be representing the SEC East in the SEC Conference Championship Game. However, even if the Bulldogs do beat Florida, they seem much inferior to Alabama based on this game.

Because Jake Fromm hasn’t demonstrated the ability to throw the ball down field, Georgia is heavily reliant upon having an effective running game. And against the defenses like that of Florida and Alabama, this offensive plan simply won’t be enough.

Jake Fromm is a more than capable quarterback who needs to be trusted to throw the ball further than 10 yards, which will force defenses to honor the deep threat. But, at this point, it’s too little, too late. Georgia will need a miracle and plenty of college football mayhem for them to find themselves in the College Football Playoff.
