Florida and LSU football were locked in a shoot out for the ages, but the Tigers pulled away late. What did we learn about the LSU?

The LSU Tigers and the Florida Gators fought tooth and nail in a top-10 matchup that absolutely lived up to the billing. These two teams could meet again in the SEC Championship, especially after Georgia lost today to South Carolina. The East is wide open and well, LSU still has to get past Alabama.

That being said though, we are here to discuss what we learned about the Tigers against the Gators in a game that everyone will remember for quite a while.

What did we learn about LSU in this extremely close matchup?

3. The Tigers can beat Alabama

We have seen Alabama have some weaknesses this season. The Tide are still one of the top teams in the nation, if not the cream of the crop, but they have holes. They blew up Texas A&M this week as everyone expected.

However, who has Alabama really faced so far this season? The only ranked team they have faced to this point is the Aggies and I’m not sure that they deserved to be ranked.

The Tigers, on the other hand, now have this big win against Florida and one against the Longhorns in Austin. Can they handle a trip to Tuscaloosa? I’d say so. For the Tigers to make a move into the College Football Playoff, they would have to pretty much take Alabama out of that conversation and the only way to do that is a win on the road.

I have faith in LSU to be able to do that.
