Texas A&M football fell to Alabama, as expected, at Kyle Field to fall to 3-3 on the season. What did we learn about these two teams?
Despite hanging around and putting forth a pretty good effort, the Aggies fell to Alabama 47-28. We saw the good and the bad from Texas A&M and a lot of good from Alabama.
Of course Nick Saban wasn’t entirely happy with everything that happened, but it was enough to improve to 6-0. Alabama did everything they needed to do. The Aggies struggled with the basics.

3. Jaylen Waddle shines big time for Alabama
Alabama has a handful of strong wideouts. That is no secret and they shined. They had 293 receiving yards, led by DeVonta Smith who had 99 of those yards and a touchdown.
Tua Tagovailoa did what everyone expected him to do and shined bright in a game that only boosted his Heisman chances. Najee Harris did what he needed to do to support the rest of the Alabama offense by putting up 114 yards.
However, the real star for the Tide was sophomore Jaylen Waddle. He scored his first touchdown to tie the game, shown above. That is great and all, but it was his punt return yards that really changed the game for Alabama. He finished with 128 return yards on four tries. Setting his team up for big drives near Texas A&M territory drive after drive was a big part of this one.
So yes, Alabama has strong players that showed out in this one, but this was Waddle’s coming out party for the season and I am sure he will get a lot more playing time throughout the rest of the season.
