Wisconsin football had its way with the Michigan State Spartans at Camp Randall. Here’s what we learned from the Badgers’ 38-0 win.

“I’m as real as real can get, if what you’re looking for is real loving; then what you see is what you get” — The Dramatics

It gets no more real than the Wisconsin Badgers. You know what you have to defend when you play them, and you know how they want to defend you. In what was supposed to be a test of two of the more physical teams in the Big Ten, the Badgers had their way with the Spartans dominating them on both sides of the ball.

The Spartan defense wasn’t bad against the Badger offense. They contained Jonathan Taylor and didn’t let him get loose. The Spartans linebackers were solid bringing Taylor to the ground, not allowing him to get into the secondary.

It was the Badger’s defense that dominated this game. They kept giving their offense the ball. The defensive line was dominant. Michigan State couldn’t run, couldn’t block, and couldn’t throw. The Badgers defense thoroughly gutted the Spartan offense. Wisconsin forced six three and outs in the fourth quarter alone. The Spartans threw for 2.9 yards an attempt and an interception.

Here are three more takeaways from today’s game.
