UCLA Football: 3 keys to victory vs. Stanford in Week 8
UCLA football is coming off of a tough loss to Oregon State. How will it fare on the road against Stanford in Week 8 at Stanford Stadium?
UCLA Football has gotten out to a horrific start in 2019 under head coach Chip Kelly, going 1-5 to start the year and losing their last two Pac-12 matchups. As if the seat under Kelly was not hot enough, the Bruins have positioned themselves as one of the worst teams in the Pac-12 once again.
This may come as a shock to many, but even after all of this said, UCLA still has life coming off of a bye week where they got healthy in multiple places where they needed it the most. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is coming off a leg injury that helps him out the past two weeks and looks to be healthy coming into the Californian matchup in Palo Alto.
Getting Thompson-Robinson back is a huge spark for the Bruins as UCLA started to gain some momentum just before he went out.
Stanford on the other side is rolling right now, beating No. 15 Washington and winning at Oregon State. After losing their first three of four, the Cardinal looked like they were down for the count, however, have played extremely well at home against ranked opponents with exceptional defense.
We will see two teams that may be out of the race for the Pac-12 championship, but still have coaching jobs and bragging rights for California on the line Thursday night. This will be a special Thursday night edition of Pac-12 After Dark that rarely happens on a weeknight. Here are three keys for the UCLA Bruins to take down Stanford on the road.
