UCLA Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Stanford in Week 8
2. Dorian Thompson-Robinson has 350 total yards
Bouncing back from injury isn’t tough, but Dorian Thompson-Robinson has to clean up yet another mess. The Bruins are coming off a loss to Oregon State — yes, you read that correctly.
Thompson-Robinson missed the game with an injury but is expected to play against the Cardinal, though Chip Kelly has yet to name him the starter over Austin Burton. He has a high ceiling and with the right coaching, Thompson-Robinson could be an All-Pac-12 performer and I think we all saw a glimpse of that against Washington State on Sept. 21.
Outside of that 500-yard passing performance against the Cougars, Thompson-Robinson hasn’t surpassed 250 total yards in a single game this season. That will change on Thursday.
The sophomore quarterback is going to break out yet again, passing for 300 yards and rushing for another 50 with three total touchdowns. This will be huge for his confidence, especially after struggling against Arizona before his injury.
