Clemson football travels to Louisville to take on the Cardinals in an ACC Atlantic matchup. Here are three keys to a Tigers road victory

The ROY bus is a powerful motivator. When you don’t think you belong on that bus it makes you play better. That’s exactly what happened last weekend when the Clemson Tigers played the Florida State Seminoles at home.

Dabo Swinney pulled out the ROY bus in a press conference during the bye week at Clemson and his young men responded. They smothered the Florida State Seminoles on both sides of the ball en route to a 45-14 win.

Sure the Tigers have slept walked through much of this season, and almost slept through the entire North Carolina game. One unit that’s been “woke” the entire season is the Clemson defense. They’ve been outstanding on both sides of the ball giving up well under 300 yards of total offense per game. The defense has also amassed 22 sacks and eight interceptions including two pick sixes.

Louisville is going to be ready, and the Cardinals are going to give the Tigers everything they can handle, but Clemson has a clear talent and athletic advantage.

Cardinals head coach Scott Satterfield has done an amazing job in year one at Louisville. Include me in the list of writers that didn’t see them at 4-2 at this point in the season. However, expect the Tigers to still be a tad bit ornery and take it out on the Cards.

What does Clemson have to do in order to avoid a massive upset?
