Several of college football’s Group of Five teams are knocking on the door of the top 10. Who will have their NY6 bowl dreams dampened in Week 8?

College Football has looked a lot different in the Group of Five this year with the front running favorite UCF taking two early losses in the first half of the season. With Boise State at the head of the pack of the Group of Five, there has been little to no movement at the top to challenge teams for a New Year’s Six bowl game.

Several teams have cracked the top 25 in the country from the Group of Five, gaining on Boise State in recent weeks. SMU, Cincinnati, and Appalachian State all come into the top 25 in Week 8 behind No. 13 Boise State. The Broncos, SMU and Appalachian State all remain undefeated on the season and have tough games ahead.

Other notable mentions for the Group of Five that have received votes in the AP Poll and other polls have been Tulane, Temple, Memphis, UCF, San Diego State and Louisiana Tech. All of these teams have multiple losses but could cause mass havoc when it comes down to conference championships and other games they could play spoiler in.

There are multiple interesting games this week as Boise State goes on the road to play a sneaky BYU team, SMU has Temple at home, and Memphis plays a veteran Tulane team. Each of these games has upset alert all over them and could have other teams come more and more into focus. Here are three teams that are on upset alert this weekend.
