3. No letdowns
Oklahoma was up for the challenge against No. 11 Texas all day long last week at the Cotton Bowl. Playing great on defense when many expected this game to be a shootout with great quarterbacks on both sides.
This game is circled every year on Oklahoma’s calendar and is looked at as one of the marquee matchups in the college football season. This was no different as it will likely decide the Big 12 champion.
After coming off an emotional win against a rival opponent with so much national media hype, one could only think about how much West Virginia is even being prepared for. West Virginia comes into the game as 33.5-point underdogs and has only shown glimpses of a team that could compete.
This will be a mental matchup for the Sooners who are trying to crack the top four and get themselves in a position to win the Big 12 and get into the playoff. West Virginia is a far inferior team with a whole lot less talent. The Sooners still have to get up and play a home game against a conference opponent and avoid any let downs.
