Penn State football has had some great players over the years. Who are the 10 best Nittany Lions to ever suit up in the blue and white?

Penn State is known as one of the greatest football programs of all time. Legendary head coach Joe Paterno owns the all time wins record with 409 wins. He won two national championships, and had five undefeated seasons during his 46-year tenure as Penn State’s head football coach.

Over the years, Paterno grew a reputation for his bruising style of play. Penn State has a long history of producing fantastic defensive players, as well as running backs. In recent years, Penn State has changed their style a bit and has produced some great wide receivers into the NFL as well.

Penn State is known as “Linebacker U” for a reason. Penn State has developed and put out some of the greatest linebackers in the history of football. Although known as a defensive program, Penn State has also put out a couple great quarterbacks, and several fantastic running backs.

I will highlight my top 10 players of all time for Penn State. I took into consideration each players college career and NFL career when comprising this list.
