Boise State football goes on the road to face rival BYU in Provo. How will the Broncos be able to escape the Cougars in Week 8?

Boise State Football is always in the mix as one of the best Group of Five teams in the nation each year. Going into Week 8, the Broncos find themselves as the top Group of Five team in the nation and No. 13 the AP poll. The Broncos have started off their season a perfect 6-0, and are coming off a huge home win against Hawaii.

Boise State was able to cruise past the Rainbow Warriors last week 59-37 and capped a huge night with three different quarterbacks able to throw for a touchdown. The lone negative on the night was starting freshman quarterback Hank Bachmeier being helped off the field as he suffered a leg injury. He’s doubtful to play in Saturday’s matchup but is practicing with the team.

BYU is coming into the game with a bunch of injuries that have hobbled their starting lineup. Starting quarterback Zach Wilson has been out the last two weeks after undergoing hand surgery after hurting this after the Washington game. We should see a new look BYU team and one that is coming off of three straight losses.

Regardless of the records and who is playing in these matchups, Boise State and BYU always seem to have a great rivalry in each game. Boise State has come out on top the last three times these two teams have matched up.

Here are three keys to Boise State’s success on the road this week.
