Michigan football goes on the road to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions. Will Jim Harbaugh be able to motivate his squad to victory on Saturday?

Michigan Football has been one of the most talked-about teams in 2019 and not for the best of reasons. After getting crushed by Wisconsin, many people were after Head Coach Jim Harbaugh’s job. The Wolverine fanbase was understandably upset as Harbaugh dropped to just 1-9 against the top ten teams in the country. Now, the Wolverines head to Happy Valley as Penn State is ranked #7 in national polls.

Harbaugh is looking for Michigan Football to a breakthrough on Saturday, with his team at 5-1 and on a roll, winning three straight games. The Wolverines are coming off of their win against Illinois where they put up 42 points. Shea Patterson threw for three touchdowns but still seems to be struggling in his senior campaign.

Going 11-22 against the Fighting Illini and only throwing for 193 yards, Patterson continues to struggle with accuracy. His accuracy continues to plummet sitting at 57.1 percent on the year after having a 64 percent completion rate just last year. The Wolverines will have to have Patterson play well if they want to have a shot on Saturday.

Penn State comes into their second big game in as many weeks, beating No. 17 Iowa last week on the road. The Nittany Lions have escaped the first have of the season unscathed going 6-0 and allowing just 8 points a game on defense. The Nittany Lions are knocking on the door of the College Football Playoff, but are still very vulnerable.

Here are three reasons the Wolverines have a shot on Saturday.
