SMU Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Temple in Week 8
3. Temple comes out swinging
The Temple Owls have shocked most of the college football world with their 5-1 start. With quarterback Anthony Russo at the helm, the Owls have been able to move the ball down the field at will. Russo has passed for over 1,500 yards and 13 touchdowns in six games but has leaned on the running game to really move the sticks.
Running back Re’mahn Davis has been the standout back for the Owls. Davis had 23 rushes last week for 72 years and did not get in the endzone against Memphis, but was a pivotal piece of the Owls’ upset in Memphis. He will be the bell-cow once again for Temple, using the time of possession in their favor once again.
Temple has all of the talents in order to beat the SMU team that has shown signs of being vulnerable. After a triple-overtime win, this could be a game where Temple is able to catch the Mustangs drained after last week.
