3. Slow Justin Herbert down
Justin Herbert came back to Eugene for his senior season for one reason, to win a Pac-12 championship and progress in his senior season.
Herbert has been nothing short of great in his last season throwing for 1,600 yards and 17 touchdowns in just six games. He has the Ducks on a five-game winning streak and in a great position to win the conference and get into a New Year’s Six bowl.
The senior quarterback and the Ducks look like the Oregon of old running an up-tempo, athletes everywhere you look type of offense that Washington is going to have to slow down to have a chance on Saturday night.
The crowd will be a definite factor for the Huskies on Saturday as well as cooler temperatures in Seattle for the night game. Slowing Herbert and playing more of a zone defense to force the Ducks to run is most likely on tap for the Pac-12 matchup, the Huskies must stop the passing game in order to have a shot down the stretch.
