College GameDay is headed to State College for a mammoth Week 8 showdown between Michigan and Penn State. Who’s the guest picker?

State College is going to be rocking on Saturday night as Penn State hosts Michigan for a massive Big Ten East battle, but before that can take place, College GameDay will be hosting its weekly show on campus.

The Big Ten is the subject of GameDay and this is a chance for the conference to showcase two teams that could be in the playoff race by the end of the season.

Penn State is currently undefeated and coming off a big road win over Iowa and Michigan has one loss to its name, a blowout at Wisconsin, but the Wolverines have also beaten the Hawkeyes. No one is giving Michigan much of a chance to win this game, but that’s not fair given the amount of talent the Wolverines truly have on their roster.

Can Jim Harbaugh finally win the big game and beat a ranked team on the road as an underdog? It would surely silence all the doubters.

So who will win this game? Everyone looks forward to the picks segment of College GameDay on Saturday mornings as Lee Corso dons some type of headgear or wild outfit, but the guest picker is always an intriguing reason to tune in.

Who is the guest picker for Week 8?

Surprisingly, GameDay has yet to announce anyone officially, but there are a few options.

First, there’s US women’s soccer player Ali Krieger who is fresh off a World Cup victory. Her teammate, goalie Alyssa Naeher, could also be an option. Both attended Penn State and have been seen around campus recently.

What about Chris Godwin? The former Penn State wide out and current NFL star has a bye week as his Buccaneers are off, so it would make sense that he’d be back in State College visiting his old school.

Lastly, a name that might be thrown around is Keegan Michael-Key and it’s because he did attend Penn State and has one heck of a James Franklin impression.
