Penn State football hosts the Michigan Wolverines at Beaver Stadium in a Big Ten East showdown. Here are three bold predictions for the game.

It’s a crucial Big Ten East matchup as the Penn State Nittany Lions take on the Michigan Wolverines in the “White Out” at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night.

Both teams are coming off of road wins last Saturday. The Wolverines jumped out early and pulled away late against the Illinois Fighting Illini in Champaign while the Nittany Lions finally won a road game against a ranked team when they went to Kinnick Stadium and defeated Iowa in a close defensive battle.

The Nittany Lions want to change their narrative and be in the conversation among the elite teams in the country. They checked one box: they went to Kinnick and beat the Hawkeyes, not an easy feat. The second box is to come down from such a huge win and play another tough game against another tough physical defense in the Wolverines.

For Michigan, it’s all about defeating teams that are as good or better than you are. The story of the Wolverines since Jim Harbaugh took over is that they don’t do well when they play as the underdogs. In fact he’s never won as an underdog, and he’s not very good against ranked teams.

So what will happen in this game? Here are three bold predictions.
