Baylor Football: 3 takeaways from huge win at Oklahoma State
By Dante Pryor
Here are three takeaways from Baylor football’s huge road win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys that allowed them to remain undefeated.
It’s hard not to sing the praises of Matt Rhule when you consider what Baylor was when he arrived in Waco. The undefeated Bears won one game in Rhule’s first year at Baylor. He’s done unbelievable work, and now they sit tied for first place in the Big 12 alongside Oklahoma.
It was going to be interesting to see if they were able to take the next step after winning their bowl game last year. They are doing that and more. Games like this go a long way to show they are close to where Rhule wants them to be. This was a close game for two and a half quarters, then Charlie Brewer and the Bears decided to get going and take the game over late.
Chuba Hubbard had another great game, but it was all for naught against the Bears. The Pokes couldn’t get much going in the air, they committed eight penalties, and had three turnovers. The Cowboys led at the half, in the third quarter, and even led 27-24 in the fourth quarter, but the Bears rattled off 21 consecutive points.
Here are three more takeaways from the Bears’ win.
