vs. Washington State. Oregon Ducks. (6-1). player. 820. . . 5

As the lone Pac-12 undefeated team, Oregon appears in the drivers seat for the conference championship. The Ducks take on Washington State this week and are favored by 14 points.

Oregon opened the season with a close loss to Auburn in AT&T Stadium. Since then, the Ducks have rattled off six straight victories. This past Saturday, the Ducks needed a comeback to avoid being upset by Washington.

Washington State is sitting at 4-3 after a three game losing streak that saw the Cougars lose by four points to UCLA, get blown out by Utah, and lose by another four points to Arizona State. The Cougars got back on the winning side with a stomping of Colorado last week.

The Cougars are 1-3 in conference play with no hopes of winning the Pac-12 North. With the conference championship goal out the window, Washington State can play with nothing to lose. Their offense can put up points, averaging 42.7 points per game. The Cougars also are number one in the country in pass yards, averaging 440 per game. Quarterback Anthony Gordon has thrown for nearly 3,000 yards and 29 touchdowns.

It is hard to trust any Pac-12 team. Oregon looks like the best of the conference now, but that can change quickly. Washington State has won four in a row in the series and won’t go down easily.
