LSU has run through the first half of their schedule going 7-0 with an offense that many in Louisiana have not seen for years. The Tigers have scored 50 points a game and had the help of transfer quarterback Joe Burrow.
Joe Burrow has been the star of the show in Baton Rouge as he has placed himself directly in the Heisman race. With 29 passing touchdowns and just three interceptions, Burrow has been able to do it all. Burrow was a transfer from Ohio State and playing some of his best football for his senior campaign.
Auburn has found themselves in the top ten in the polls after losing just one game in the first half of the year. Many have doubted the ranking for the Auburn Tigers, as they have won just one game against a ranked opponent and took a loss vs. Florida. Freshman quarterback Bo Nix has surprised by his performances in just his first year in college.
Saturday will feature two great offenses going up against each other with a ton on the line. LSU is looking to get into the college football playoff and Auburn could get in the conversation with a win as well. Regardless of the CFP implications, SEC West title hopes are on the line for both teams.
