USC football travels to Boulder to face Colorado on Friday night but can the Trojans get back on track with a comfortable win over the Buffaloes?

It’s been one of those season for USC. The Trojans came into the season with relatively high hopes, but after losing starting quarterback JT Daniels and then backup Kedon Slovis for a couple of games, they are looking like a middle-of-the-pack Pac-12 team.

Couple that with a defense that can’t stop anyone and you have a team searching for answers and a head coach fighting for his job and you have the perfect storm for a poor season.

Can USC turn things around on Friday night in Boulder and take one step closer to bowl eligibility with a fifth win? It’ll take a herculean effort to win on the road against the Buffaloes, especially since they’ve been better than just a pushover like everyone assumed heading into the year.

What could we see take place on Friday night?

3. USC picks Steven Montez off two times

This might seem like a wild prediction, that’s because it’s as bold as it comes. Through eight weeks, the Trojans have just three interceptions but this is a matchup that could work into USC’s favor.

I’m not saying Steven Montez is going to have a bad game because I believe he’ll pass the ball 30-40 times for over 300 yards against USC’s secondary, but his two interceptions against the Trojans would just continue a trend for him this season. He has eight interceptions to just 10 touchdowns and he’ll have double-digit interceptions after this one.

The Trojans are going to come up big and take advantage of a turnover-prone quarterback who slings the ball around the yard a ton.
