LSU football goes on the road to face Auburn in a big SEC showdown. LSU is primed to compete for a CFP spot so how will it get past the Tigers?
LSU Football has been one of the best football teams in the country through the first eight weeks. Scoring over 50 points a game and starting the year 7-0, the Tigers have shocked the SEC with the amount of talent they have. Even with the hot start and the Heisman candidate Joe Burrow running the show, LSU still has a lot to prove.
You could say the LSU Tigers have one of the toughest schedules in the country. Matching up with No. 9 Texas and No. 7 Florida earlier in the season and still having two top-10 opponents to get past. LSU has been impressive against their top ten opponents so far, winning 45-28 against the Longhorns and 42-28 against Florida.
Now, the Tigers have to get through Auburn this week and go to Tuscaloosa to take on the Crimson Tide the week after.
Nobody has ever said the SEC schedule was going to be easy. This might be downright ridiculous what LSU has to face in their regular season. It seems like Ed Orgeron and the Tigers are up for the challenge running past their opponents in the first seven games and looking great going into Auburn.
Auburn has had a good season of their own. Defeating Texas A&M and going 6-1 in their first seven games, only falling to Florida just two weeks ago. Auburn features their true freshman quarterback Bo Nix that has handled all of the hype in his first collegiate season.
Having the normal struggles any freshman may have, but showing big-time elite arm strength in big games as well. However, LSU has proven they are able to play anyone, anywhere. Here are three reasons why LSU will beat Auburn on Saturday.
