Miami football came back late in the fourth quarter to edge the Pitt Panthers 16-12 at Heinz field. Here are three takeaways from the game.
At a wet Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, the Miami Hurricanes defeated the Pitt Panthers 16-12 in what can only be described as a bowling shoe ugly game.
Jarren Williams came into the game in the fourth quarter for starting quarterback N’Kosi Perry and found Buffalo transfer KJ Osborn for the go-ahead touchdown which ended up being the game-winner.
This was a defensive battle as both offenses had issues with consistency against their defensive counterparts. The Hurricanes forced three early turnovers and scored seven points from an interception. That gave the Hurricanes a 10-6 advantage for most of the game.
Pitt found just enough offense to kick two more field goals and take a 12-10 lead.
In the fourth quarter, the Hurricanes decided to put Williams in the game, and he led them to the game winning touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter.
